Policies

Billing and Credit Policy

EMT Canada and Kitchener First Aid and CPR, on occasion, will extend credit to corporate clients.  The extension of credit is SOLELY AT THE DISCRETION OF EMT Canada and/or Kitchener First Aid and CPR.

No client is entitled to credit.

Should EMT Canada/Kitchener First Aid and CPR extend credit, temporary certifications will be issued to reflect only the credit period provided.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure payment compliance to avoid lapses in certification.  Once full payment is received, a final certification will be issued that reflects the full certification period commencing from the date of course completion.

EMT Canada/Kitchener First Aid and CPR’s standard terms of payment are due on receipt. It is solely at the discretion of EMT Canada/Kitchener First Aid and CPR to modify these terms for a client.

Any charges under $500 will not be extended credit and must be paid immediately via cheque, bank order, direct debit transaction, or any major credit card. Charges exceeding $500 may be eligible for credit.

For first-time clients, a 10% deposit will be required for credit purchases totalling $1500 or more.

Late payments will be charged interest at the rate of 12.99% monthly, calculated daily. The extension of credit is revokable upon any late payment or for any other reason at the sole discretion of EMT Canada or Kitchener First Aid and CPR.

Certification Policy

EMT Canada issues certifications upon the completion of courses and receipt of full payment. We make every effort to issue certificates within 72 hours of both conditions being fulfilled.

If credit is extended to a corporate client, certificates will be issued when full payment is received. If a student completes a course booked through a corporate client before EMT Canada receives payment, upon request from the client, a temporary certificate valid for the predetermined credit period, can be issued. The temporary certification will be issued within 72 hours of the request.

Every effort will be made to issue certificates within 72 hours. EMT Canada will not be held responsible for unforeseen circumstances delaying issuance including but not limited to, office closure, illness, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes, or acts of God. In such an event EMT Canada will take all appropriate steps and make all reasonable efforts to resume certification issuance as soon as possible.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Corporate/Group Clients

Corporate group clients must provide a participant count five (5) business days before the start of the scheduled course.  This is the client’s CONFIRMED attendance number.  EMT Canada / Kitchener First Aid and CPR will provide an invoice based on the provided participant count.  Should fewer than the number of previously-confirmed participants attend the course, the cost of the discrepancy is borne solely by the client or group—not by EMT Canada or Kitchener First Aid and CPR.  Neither EMT Canada, nor Kitchener First Aid and CPR will modify an invoice to reflect fewer participants in attendance at the course within 5 days of the commencement of a course.

Should more participants attend a course, EMT Canada or Kitchener First Aid will adjust the invoice accordingly to reflect the larger attendance number.

Public Courses
